Healthcare Onboarding Symposium:
Creating a New Hire Experience That Inspires Quality Care, Loyalty, and Compliance
To provide the best patient care, it's critical for a healthcare organization to prepare new hires. Part of that preparation is paperwork, security, and compliance. But today's new hire experience needs to go beyond the basics, creating an experience that motivates and aligns employees, contract workers and even volunteers to the organization's mission and vision. A dynamic experience helps you both retain those specialized hires and enable them to do their best.
In this two-day symposium, hosted by healthcare leader Cleveland Clinic and SilkRoad, you'll discover the best practices to create a modern, engaging new hire experience. Cleveland Clinic will share practical tips and ideas from their successful program. It's also a day loaded with networking opportunities, including onboarding user groups and a networking dinner.
Join us for this information-filled event, all designed specifically for healthcare.

Every company has a robust process for onboarding its employees, but does its rigor always translate to its non-employee population? This population, which can include contracted workers, students and volunteers, are increasingly becoming a more important part of any company's workforce and increasingly exposing companies to greater risk. At the Cleveland Clinic, we have utilized SilkRoad's Onboarding product since 2011 to create a systematic, enterprise-wide onboarding process for our non-employee population to reduce risk and improve the efficiency of onboarding our non-employee population. In 2016, we onboarded over 30,000 non-employees. We would like to present our experience implementing a program for our non-employee population, process and benefits of using the SilkRoad Onboarding product.
During the Power of Every One: New Caregiver Experience Program, we immerse new caregivers into a conversation around Cleveland Clinic's mission, vision, and values. Employees leave the day understanding that their contributions as a Cleveland Clinic caregiver will changes the lives of patients everywhere and will improve the health of entire communities.
This presentation examines how Cleveland Clinic manages the process of onboarding students and researchers across multiple educational institutions throughout the health system. A streamlined onboarding process mitigates risk (manual to electronic processes, VISAs, different health requirements) for student and research populations across Academic Medical Centers and Health. This process provides a custom standardized onboarding that not only meets compliance requirements; but its efficient for both the student/researcher and health-care employee.
