Daxko (2016 Winner)

Daxko delivers a unique employee experience at every touch point in the onboarding process as they welcome new hires to the Daxko Nation. From pre-boarding through the end of the new hire's first year, Daxko consistently communicates their employer brand meaning and message, driving retention and engagement. New hires take part in a one-on-one mentorship program, take classes to learn about the company's culture and can contribute to the culture blog.

 
 

 
 

Redwood Credit Union (2016 1st Runner-Up)

Redwood Credit Union's portal illustrates its commitment to being a community-focused organization in a way that fosters excitement for the new hire as well as a sense of connection to the organization and its values. New hires go through brand training to cultivate knowledge and enthusiasm to ultimately feel impassioned to ‘live the brand'. Redwood Credit Union moved beyond the automation of processes and focused on creating an exceptional new hire experience that enables them to contribute to the organization's goals and objectives quickly and efficiently.

 

 

USPI (United Surgical Partners International) (2nd 2016 Runner-Up)

USPI's portal highlights its cultural program with an animated video and an introduction from their Chief HR Officer to help enculturate new hires and give them a sense of the family that they are joining. USPI has localized pages for each location that features information that is relevant to the new hire's role. USPI also has a Buddy Program to help new hires onboard quickly and contribute to the USPI Edge as soon as possible.

 
 

 
 

Accenture (1st Runner-Up)

Accenture connects the organization to employees, and the employees to the organization. Engaging programs are involved like the “Career Counselor”, a buddy program that lasts thru 12 months. Great resources are provided for the whole process to maintain new hire momentum.

 

 

ACIST

ACIST puts a strong focus on educating the new employee on the organization and their product line. Through the onboarding process, they provide resources to help employees become comfortable and productive within the organization.

 
 

 
 

Blue Illusion

Blue Illusion is a small retail chain from Australia. Visual design for this portal is outstanding, and they were clever in their onboarding branding process with a term LOUISE (Learning, Onboarding & Understanding Information for Successful Engagement). Touches like these make Blue Illusion stand out from the rest.


 

 

Genscape (Golden Portal Winner)

Genscape has an excellent mentorship program and opportunities for cross collaboration and networking throughout the organization. A few days before new hires start, Genscape phones new hires for that human touch. Time and care is taken in delivering a meaningful and branded onboarding experience.

 
 

 
 

Humana (2nd Runner-Up)

Humana puts culture first with the Buzz, an internal social network that has been widely accepted in the company. To get new hires up to speed and ready to begin collaborating with others in the Buzz, they present a well branded onboarding portal that connects new hires with management and mentors to begin assimilation. Departments are highlighted, and employees start off with a working knowledge of Humana’s departmental structure.

 

 

Make-a-Wish

Make-a-Wish carries their corporate branding and culture from their website to their career portal to their onboarding portal – making it a consistent experience for the new hire.

 
 

 
 

Sick Kids Foundation

Sick Kids Foundation puts their own touch on their onboarding portals, which really reflects their culture. Throughout the portal, they put a large emphasis on their values and expectations. This being a fund raising organization tied to a children’s health, culture and values are important to management and employees.


 

 

UNFI

UNFI provides an excellent portal that highlights great alignment to corporate culture with content and visual elements. Their portal is incredibly easy to use with their “drive” concept that directs employees to specific areas.

 
 

 
 

Unisys

Unisys centers their portal around welcoming the new employee. While customized to individually welcome by name, the portal also includes an engaging and welcoming video from the CEO, or country manager for locations outside of the US.


 

 

Urban Purveyor

Urban Purveyor is a growing hospitality group involved with some of the most celebrated restaurants, nightclubs, bars & event spaces in Australia. Within the portal, a large focus is put on investing in the new employee’s success. Additionally, branding is visually appealing and gives users a great interface to work with while completing tasks.
